Making a healthy stoplight snack is fun and tasty! We created this one with celery spread with peanut butter and red, yellow, and green apple pieces for the lights. You could easily sub cream cheese and colored bell peppers or you could make a stoplight treat with graham crackers with your favorite spread and red, yellow, and green m&ms.
One stop light completed
Construction is always a hit with preschoolers! We created these infrastructures with toothpics and grapes. Then we added "walls" of crackers with "glue" peanutbutter. The best part was eating our creations!
Peanut butter is a little messy!
YUM!!
One fun activity planned for next week (so no pictures yet!) is working with pipes. Seeing how things work is so much fun for children (and adults). Talking about plumbing with our little people makes them excited to see how pipes direct water. Using pool noodles and tape, you and your child(ren) can put together a network of "pipes" and send cups or buckets of water through to see where the water goes.
Your children have learned so much about fire safety. Talk with them and create a fire action plan. Then have a home fire drill and practice the plan you made with them!
These friends are learning fire safety during a visit with smokey the bear!
These books are also fun to read and really help our children learn about community helpers and how to stay healthy and safe.
