Native American Theme and Yard Sale

First of all, thank you so very much for helping to make our yard sale a huge success!  We raised over $1,500 for There With Care (an organization that supports families and children facing critical illness).  Thank you for your donated items, baked goods for our bake sale, and helping out at the sale itself and set up.

We've been learning so much about Native American culture this theme!  We've crushed Indian corn with mortar and pestle, baked fry bread and corn bread, played inside the Harmony teepee, created poems about the environment, dyed cloth, and much more!  Here are some pictures of our busy preschoolers.

The frog group dyed cloth by mashing up berries.

Play dough fun!

Native American hoop dancing.

Children working at the take apart table; using tools and working together to investigate the insides of a broken tape player.

Puffer fish group taking kernels off Indian corn and then mashing it up.

Teamwork!

One more week of Native American theme!
