Yoga
I don't know about you, but at my house, the night time struggle is real! My girls hit a wall, and then bust through it like the Kool-Aid man into a fit of crazy energy... at exactly the time that I want them to be winding down, brushing teeth, reading books, and finally going to sleep! We were introduced to Cosmic Kids Yoga by my older daughter's physical therapist as a way to stretch her muscles at the end of the day in a fun way. After watching the first one, we were hooked. Now, most nights of the week, right when the night time crazies begin, We all get ready to do some yoga together. There are SO many to choose from and each one that we have tried has been great (about 15 of them so far). My girls love watching and moving, and I love having their energy focused in such a positive way. The end of each yoga session is a time where the lady in the videos lays down and talks about breathing and whatever "moral of the story" there was in the yoga adventure of the day. It is just such a perfect way to end the session and my girls are calm and ready to go to bed when the video ends.
Here is a link to the videos. Some of our favorites have been this one, this one, and this one!
Enjoy!

Asian Food
So much of our Asian theme was experienced through food! Your kids got to drink tea, eat mochi, make rice noodles, sample sushi, and Miss Leslie even made a special Philippino meal of Pancit! This is a simple meat that incorporates lots of veggies, rice noodles, and some interesting flavors of fish and soy sauce - it was DELICIOUS! The students loved it and many asked for second helpings!
Pancit-
Sautée zucchini, celery, onion, carrots, napa cabbage in olive oil. Boil rice noodles. Mix veggies and noodles. Add a tiny bit of fish sauce and soy sauce.
