Gingerbread People and More!

Winter has never been so fun! In small groups we decorated gingerbread people. Check out these action shots!

The cupcake group made some adorably delicious snacks.

We decorated our Christmas tree one afternoon.

Winter Fun Theme

Thanksgiving break went by so quick!  As students returned we began a new theme, Winter Fun!  We've been learning snowman songs, cutting out snowflakes in art, practicing putting on hats, gloves, and mittens in the dramatic play room, and playing games such as snowman, snowman, where's your nose? All we need now is some snow outside...

This week the frog group cooked a gingerbread boy who ran away!  All of the children helped to looked all over the school inside and out.  We found him in the teacher cabinet.

Pie Day

Thanks for joining us for our pie day celebration!  We are so thankful for the children and families we work with.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Fun in the Fall Leaves

Nothing says teamwork like everybody working together to make a giant leaf pile!  Here are pictures of an afternoon of fun with leaves, jumping in, running through, throwing up in the air, and burying friends. 

Of course some friends overshot the pile a bit :)

If you were wondering why your child came home with so many leaves in their hair, this might explain it.

 

We also made homemade applesauce on Friday.  The children helped to core and peel, add ingredients, and stir.  It took a while to cook in the slow cooker so we ate it for snack Friday afternoon and will eat the rest Wednesday morning for snack.
